The AIA Potomac Valley / Maryland Life Magazine First Annual Residential Design Award Competition
will be held each year in July. The 2007 competition was juried by architects from the AIA Delaware. We sincerely appreciate the commitment of time and energy that these AIA members unselfishly donated to their fellow members.

Grand Honor Award

Outlook on the Severn

Architect: Donald Lococo Architects, LLC

Contractor: Winchester Construction Company

Photographer: Donald Lococo (ext.) & John Dean (int.)

Jury Comments: "A wonderful response to the site, very nice detailing, and the detail is impressive. It stands out and it flows down the site, gives some importance to the site. A real modern arrangement of spaces contained within a traditional form, and the ideas through the cabinets is an ingenious way to solve a couple of problems."
